Blitz: The League, Midway Games' arcade football title, explores the underside of professional sports. Drugs, sex, and corruption are all part of the game.
In this sequel, the player takes on the role of Franchise, a once-in-a-lifetime two-way player set to take the league by storm. But his rise to fame and fortune is halted when he defies the will of the league’s dirty commissioner. Through skill and cunning both on the field and off, Franchise recaptures his stolen glory and brings down the league’s rogue elements.
For Blitz, I worked closely with the team’s art director to develop the game’s opening cinematic into a memorable football experience. I also helped to craft the story, editing the game's cinematics script to hone the game's storytelling and intensify its emotional experience.
